Alliance Agricultural Scholarship- Deadline: April 28, 2017

 

Valeant Dermatology Scholarship – Valeant Dermatology will award nine individual scholarships of up to $10,000 each to students who will be attending undergraduate or graduate education programs during the 2017–2018 school year. The aim of the scholarship program is to recognize students who have been diagnosed and treated for a dermatologic condition and are pursuing their goal of a higher education degree. Deadline: April 30, 2017

 

Mississippi Council of the Blind of North MS (MCBNM) Scholarship- For a blind or legally blind student, or the child of a blind or legally blind parent. $500- Copies can be picked up in the counselor's office. Deadline: April 30, 2017

CHS Alumni Scholarship- Copies of application can be picked up in the counselor's office. Deadline: May 1, 2017

American College Foundation Visionary Scholarship (Freshmen-Seniors) Deadline May 1, 2017

H. Wesson- The Elite Group Scholarship- $1000-Senior who is an athlete- not the star- must be courteous, respectful and have a B or better GPA. Applications can be picked up in the counselor's office. Deadline: May 1, 2017

O. W. Gann Scholarship- $500-Senior who displays financial need and has strong citizenship, leadership, character. Applications can be picked up in the counselor's office. Deadline: May 1, 2017.

Marjorie Gibbs Memorial Scholarship- $1000- Senior who displays financial need, has a min. of a C average and is interested in a career as an Elementary School Teacher. Applications can be picked up in the counselor's office. Deadline: May 1, 2017

Harry Lee Williams Memorial Scholarship- $500- Senior who displays financial need, displays leadership, has a good GPA and is interested in forestry or business. Applications can be picked up in the counselor's office. Deadline: May 1, 2017

Rosemary & Sandy Williams- Potential for Success Scholarship-$1000- Seniors who have a financial need, leadership ability, A-B GPA, Average ACT score, desire for higher education and the ambition/drive for success. Deadline: May 1, 2017

Mississippi Municipal League Scholarship Program- Applications can be picked up in the counselor's office. Deadline: May 12, 2017

FEMA Recruiting for Youth Preparedness Council - Students in 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th grade who are engaged in community service or are interested in emergency preparedness may apply to serve on the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Youth Preparedness Council. The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) is accepting applications from qualified high school sophomores and juniors interested in attending the SAME/Army Engineering and Construction Camp, June 11-17, in Vicksburg.

The camps this year are:

Army Camp: June 11-17, 2017, Vicksburg, MS
Marine Camp: June 18-24, 2017, Jacksonville, NC
Air Force Camp: June 26-July 2, 2017, Colorado Springs, CO

 

Forty students from across the nation will be competitively selected to attend the camp. The students will engage in hands-on engineering and construction activities under the mentorship and supervision of SAME professionals and others from the local engineering community. The program includes interaction with representatives of architecture/ engineering firms, construction companies, Military leaders, and Corps of Engineers’ employees. The camp fee is $50 for selected campers, and the deadline for applications is April 7, 2017.

 

 

Mississippi Governors School- (Sophomores & Juniors)- a three-week residential collegiate experience that blends cultural, academic, social, and recreational components into a rich and natural learning environment.

Boys State- The 2017 Session of Boys State will run May 28th - June 3rd at the University of Mississippi. Typically, the local American Legion sponsors/covers the registration fee for our boys who want to attend. Download and complete the forms and bring to the school counselor's office. Deadline: April 1, 2017.
